Sonu and Jackky were overlooked in their categories of Original Score and
Original Song, Best Picture and Best Foreign Language.
India's
music maestro AR Rahman, who has won two Oscars, failed to score a nod in the
best original score category at the 87th Academy Awards nominations,
which were announced on Thursday.
The 48-year-old composer, had made it to the list of 114 probables for three of
his films including Hollywood movies 'The Hundred-Foot Journey' and 'Million
Dollar Arm' and Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil film 'Kochadaiiyaan'.

"I don't have any expectations from it. I think God has been kind to me and this is just a stop in my long journey," Rahman reporters ahead of the announcements when asked about his chance at winning a nomination.
